BOX OFFICE AND HOUSE MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATES (Part-Time)

Horizon Theatre Company is hiring part-time Box Office and House Management Associates – seeking outgoing, detail-oriented people with daytime, evening and/or weekend availability, primarily Tuesday-Sunday. Box Office and House Management Associates are expected to work between 1 to 4 shifts per week. Performance shifts are a priority, but afternoon shifts are also available for those with daytime flexibility. Performances are Wed through Fri at 8pm, Sat at 3pm and 8pm, and Sun at 5pm. Box Office and House Management associates arrive at least 2 and a half hours prior to performances. Afternoon shifts are 12-5:00pm Tues through Sat as needed. Currently seeking staff to begin training immediately for the 2024 season of fresh, contemporary plays starting in Summer 2024. Starting pay is $12-$15 per hour, depending on experience. Tessitura experience is a big plus. Complimentary tickets provided to all Horizon staff. Horizon Theatre Company requires all staff to be vaccinated, and to be able to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination.

SCENIC CARPENTERS NEEDED! 

Horizon Theatre Company is seeking scenic carpenters to be added to our overhire list and, if available, for set build for our fall show between now and October 1.   Starting hourly pay for students/early career carpenters is $12-$15/hr, based on experience; rate increases with experience in the company.  More experienced applicants should apply with a resume and requested pay rate.  Located in Little Five Points/Inman Park.  Ongoing work opportunities available.

ELECTRICIANS NEEDED!  

Horizon Theatre Company is seeking electricians to be added to our overhire list and, if available, to work hang and focus for our fall show.   Dates are September 15, 16 and September 21 plus additional in September.   Starting hourly pay for students/early career electricians is $12-$15/hr, based on experience; rate increases with experience in the company.  More experienced applicants should apply with a resume and requested pay rate.    Located in Little Five Points/Inman Park.  Ongoing work opportunities available.

THE GAME MASTER ELECTRICIAN

Horizon Theatre Company seeks a Master Electrician in June 2024 for Horizon’s production of THE GAME by Bekah Brunstetter, directed by Caroline Jane Davis. Master Electrician is responsible for the implementing the lighting design for the production, including the circuiting, hang, focus and lighting tech for the show. ME will hire and manage needed electrics crew under direction of the Associate Technical Director. Compensation hourly or by contract, depending on experience and availability. Hours will be arranged to fit the ME’s and LD’s schedule. Estimated hours for the job: 50-80 over 5 weeks. Preliminary lighting work in the space can take place May 24-31, rehearsals begin May 28, hang/circuit/focus will be between June 10 and 21. Tech rehearsals are Jun 21-25, 2024, and ME should be available for work call with the LD around the tech schedule during these dates. First preview is June 26, soft opening is June 28.  ME should be available for fixes and changes as requested by LD through press opening on July 5. After opening, ME should be available for major fixes/emergencies (by phone or in person as needed) and to maintain the focus/look of the show with a periodic check-in.

ASSISTANT PRODUCER

Horizon Theatre Company seeks a full-time Assistant Producer with an interest in a career in theatrical producing.  This position will assist in producing all Horizon plays, education programs, play development projects and community engagement initiatives. Main areas of emphasis will be administrative support for Horizon productions, coordinating casting and literary submissions, and managing education and community engagement. Required: undergraduate degree, plus minimum 2 years post-college professional theatre experience. Salary $30,000 annually with benefits. Position mainly day hours but flexibility with evenings and weekends required.

Overview of Duties: Assist Co-Artistic/Producing Director in any areas needed for mainstage and family series seasons.  by managing casting and literary work for main stage and family seasons; support Community Engagement initiatives in support of productions; produce family series show, Madeline’s Christmas; and assist as needed in development of other education programming.
